Wedding Photographer at The Kings Arms Hotel Christchurch
I'm a recommended wedding photographer at The Kings Arms Hotel in Christchurch. The Kings is a beautiful boutique Georgian hotel set in the centre of Christchurch in Dorset which offers newly engaged couples so much for their wedding day, including the recently refurbished Pavilion Wedding Venue and all of beautiful Christchurch on the door step.
The boutique Georgian hotel set in the centre of Christchurch in Dorset, offers newly engaged couples so much for their wedding day let alone boasting a superb team of chefs headed by Michelin star award winning chef, Alex Aitken at their award winning restaurant.
The restaurant uses a great range of local ingredients which is put to full effect with their now famous 15 mile menu which I have personally experienced and been very impressed, especially receiving a 3 course meal for only £15!
The Kings Arms has become a very popular choice for a wedding venue in the South of England due to the surrounding area of Christchurch and the number of beautiful locations for photography opportunities for newly weds. The front doors open out to their new Wedding Pavilion adjacent to the locally known balling green and Norman motte and Bailey castle ruins, which date back to 1160 AD. A short walk round the ruins brings you to a beautiful leafed arch way making its way to the side of the beautiful Priory Church dating back to 800AD. From there, there are a number of gardens, ending up at the old mill and Christchurch Quay. All of this is followed by the River Avon.
The drinks reception is usually on the lawn outside of the new Pavilion and where I normally photograph the group photos. Many couples have organised large lawn games for their wedding, utilising the beautiful surroundings on a hot day. Alternatively where the weather may not be favourable, The Kings Arms also has it's very own wedding and function suite called "The Priory Suite" which boasts two levels and situated next to their main restaurant and hotel. The first is the evening reception and function room where your first dance would be and drinks reception if the weather wasn't on our side. The second floor serves as the very well lit, ceremony room which transforms into the reception room for your wedding breakfast and speeches.
