When Amy went shopping for her dress, she had absolutely no idea what style she wanted. She tried every style imaginable. Until she found 'the one' and then felt like a princess in her dress and knew it was the one for her. Whilst watching TV with Luke, funnily enough, she saw someone trying her dress on... Amy pretended she didn’t like it and Luke asked how she didn’t like it as it was beautiful!
Amy said "getting five girls to agree on a dress would be a tough task. They are all beautiful girls and thankfully as soon as they tried on the sparkly Goddiva Chiffon Champgane dresses (which had similarities to Amys wedding dress), they all loved them and all looked stunning I think you can agree!
When Luke and Amy were looking for places to getting ready at, the morning of the wedding, they needed two venues, one for the boys and one for the girls, but large enough to accomodate 5 bridesmaids and family. They used Air BnB and found such beautiful and different houses for them to get ready at. They found a lovely old farmhouse called ‘Manor Farmhouse’ in Wimborne, Dorset and a stunning house backing onto the beach in Sandbanks. It started the celebrations perfectly! Amy was at the farmhouse with the girls and the decor was stunning! Each room had a modern and in some cases quirky twist. The Main bedroom was divine and modern.
Amy wanted to go to Italy to get married and Luke wanted to have a UK wedding. They looked at so many beautiful venues but for different reasons, they weren’t for them. Luke said "if we couldn’t find anywhere, we could then go abroad". They found the Italian Villa nestled in the beautiful gardens of Compton Acres in Poole, by Sandbanks in Dorset and got a really good feeling about it. They drove down from Essex on a Sunday to see it during the open day and it was perfect for them. As soon as they were there, they both knew it was the venue for them!
The venue itself is absolutely stunning, everyone that works there goes above and beyond to help. Luke and Amy felt so at ease and the gardens are absolutely spectacular. They fell in love with it and all their guests said how perfect the venue was.
For their theme/decor, they used gold and yellow so that it was still neutral and they could add different elements of their personalities. They chose to have Disney named tables because it was the first holiday they ever had together. They added a hint of each film to each table and used items from travelling as they both have wanderlust and wanted to add that in.
