Ross and Lauren wanted to go for a very summery vibe to their wedding, making it rustic with a country garden theme. Ross is a Chelsea fire fighter and so incorporated the fire service which included a guard of honour entering and exiting their wedding at Baughurst church in Basingstoke.
I had to tease Ross when I first met him, asking him if he actually was Bradley Cooper as he looked so much like him and of course tweeted that it was indeed Bradley Cooper's wedding I was shooting that day!
Lauren got ready at her parents home which used to be an older farm house and it was also where the reception would be later with a marquee in the ample garden which had it's own line of apple tree's which I made use of for her beautiful Carvella by Kurt Geiger wedding shoes and rustic tiara.
Lauren has a lot of close friends and thus, had to have 6 bridesmaids, all looking stunning in their yellow bridesmaids dresses, very suitable for summer.
An old red fire engine arrived to pick the bridesmaids up after a quick photo of them all and Lauren by the apple trees and they had also hired an old Bentley for Lauren's Mum. Lauren would arrive with her dad in an old Jaguar. Lauren looked stunning, as everyone knew she would and was wearing an amazing Casablanca wedding dress by Enzoani.
The church was very dark but it wasn't too bad in the end. Ross and Lauren had a fw readings and was welcomed into the church by Ross's dad playing the bagpipes and then Lauren's operatic younger cousin sang.
The guard of honour was a great touch as well as a hat throw after everyone congratulated the happy couple. Before heading back to the house, Lauren wanted to visit her grandmas grave which was a lovely moment for them both.
Back at the house, all the bespoke signs the family spent hours preparing were working well showing guests to the toilets, parts of the garden and the marquee. We did a number of photos with just Ross and Lauren by the red fire engine and Jaguar as well as the group shots and bridal party photos by the red fire engine before it left.
I did a number of extra solo photographs before and after the meal using the farm-house surroundings as well as the summer sun, setting. The speeches were brilliant and brought up a time in Ross's life I bet he wished stayed buried when his best man played back his time on The Weakest Link!
Ross loves his music, especially his friends bands from London, so the evening had a number of bands playing a few songs as well as a DJ later on.
