Luke and Amy met working at the local cash and carry, Luke was working on the tills as a glorified checkout girl and Amy came in for her interview. He thought she was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen!
To this day, he remembers what she was wearing and also that she broke down in tears after forgetting to give the customer the correct change and thought: "that’s the girl I want to marry!".
The first time they properly spoke, Luke took the micky out of Amy and that is the basis of their entire relationship! In their own words, "we wouldn’t be us without lots of laughter".
10 Years later Luke plucked up the courage to propose to Amy at Lake Buttermere in the Lake District, their very own ‘swan lake’. Luke still got his own way wearing his favourite snap back cap backwards.
They celebrated with hot chocolate before getting ready and going to the Samling for a nice dinner. Amy had ABSOLUTELY no idea this was coming.
They chose the Natural History Museum in London for their engagement shoot with me because they both grew up going there with their families and the occasional awesome school trip. As a couple, they visit London on a rainy day which ironically we had! The building is a beautiful place with amazing architecture and lots of things to see and it was a challenge to shoot let me tell you!
A rainy, gloomy day and one of the busiest days at the museum, along with very low light, so I had my work cut out for me, but I am so happy with what we achieved despite the challenges.
