Tom and Jess love to travel and when they first met me, we discussed some initial ideas for where they may like to have their engagement shoot. Italy or Paris were high on their list, but they settled in the end on Paris as they have never been there before. And why not the most romantic city in the world for a destination engagement shoot?!
As many people know I don't shoot the same location twice for an engagement shoot so I am at my most creative, it's new and exciting and it's unique to the couple. A destination Engagement Shoot such as this is amazing, not only does it allow a great amount of time to shoot in an amazing location, but it also means myself and a couple get to spend lots more time together to develop and even better rapport which means the world to me.
We decided to get our barings on the first day and do a recky of the main sights we wanted to visit and shoot, knowing where to go and also desciding on the most creative places. The instant problem I had was that I had no idea how busy it would be in paris, even out of season. Paris is constantly busy and thus VERY tough to achieve the shots you think you'd like to achieve. It also become very obvious from our recky the day before the shoot that even though we had a brilliant metro system to use to get to A and B, it took a long time to get around and so we wouldn;t be able to visit everywhere.
These are some of my favourites from the destination engagement shoot. We visited the Eiffel tower during the day and night, Notre Dame where the famous bridge is with all the love pad locks, the gardens near by, Parc Monceau and the Arc De Triomphe.
