For once, Fiona was glad she'd put those unflattering climbing photos on her Tinder profile...
But... Tony had noticed them, and enjoyed climbing at The Project in Poole himself. A few messages, some weeks, and many dates later - they were climbing together at Calshot in Hampshire. There's apparently something about dangling 40 feet above the ground supported only by a 10mm cable which instils trust, confidence and faith in the person who's holding the other end of the rope. As their skill on the climbing wall grew, so did their love for each other, and in October 2018 Tony asked Fiona to be his 'partner in climb' for good!
The wedding plans began and having known me and my work since 2010, there was apparently only one person Fiona wanted to take their wedding photos - me! Yay! Tony and Fi were so happy when I was available for their big day, but prior to this, it started with a couples shoot of them which turned into engagement shoot one of two, as Fi had planned the shoot for them both with me and the morning of the shoot, she text to say that Tony had asked her to marry him the night before!
I said to them, "promise me, if you absolutely love these photos, then book me for your wedding?". And they did! They're now looking forward to their summer wedding at Beaulieu, Hampshire.
Calshot was an obvious choice for their actual engagement shoot with me as they have been at the Activities center there before to climb to link in with their hobby and so love the area. Tny and Fi are so natural I hardly had to direct them at all!
